Inspired by a series of photographs I saw of cotton pickers from Georgia, USA circa 1935 who were working on a plantation. Each image depicted either a family, child or a portrait of a man or woman on the plantation. The period was just after the Great Depression, teach person in the photograph projected pain and  yet a sense of hope in their eyes.
