No More Tears
No More Tears
In response to the murder of Trayvon Martin in July 2013 I was moved by the senseless and death and the aquital George Zimmerman who shot Trayvon. The black profile shedding a tear of blood was symbolic to all those people both black and white who are oppressed and who have suffered injustice. The incident triggered my own injustices experienced over the years by a classist and racist society being raised in London, and whilst there has been change and developments, Racism is the poison that runs deep through society The term Black Lives Matter resonated and was symbolic of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
