This drawing was influenced by my consultancy work in SEMH. Children with a disruption due to an unmet need during there childhood development may behaviour ways where they become socially isolated. These behaviours can present as aggressive to the untrained eye when in fact the child has learned to communicate in that way. Behaviour is masked in some many situations and peoples true authentic self is not always presented as seen. 

On my own is a drawing that illustrates the complexity of human emotions. It celebrates the lonely child, the outsider, the independent one. The drawing affirms being your own as a form of strength and not a weakness. It is a time for reflection and peace. A time for you.
